So you want to know what its like to live in this frozen tundra.

How cold and hot does it get in North Dakota?

In North Dakota, we technically have four seasons. Autumn, winter, spring and summer. Most years its summer and winter. In the summer it gets anywhere from average 75 degrees to over a hundred with humidity. The hottest I’ve witnessed was 96 degrees with 100% humidity. It felt like 107 degrees. The lowest temp I’ve felt was -20 or -25 with wind chills that dropped it to -45

This is why my favorite seasons are spring and fall. That first day when it gets above 40 degrees is tshirt and short weather. Time to go to the beach. Then that first day when its lower than 60 degrees in the morning when you dealt with it being 75 and above in the months of July and August. It feels so nice. We bitch about the weather in this area but we love it here.

What is there to do in North Dakota? NOTHING

There are plenty of bars, lounges, and saloons in Fargo. People like to drink because in the winter time it’s to cold to do outdoor activity. I think North Dakota has the highest percentage of alcoholics.

In the summer, outdoor activities are golfing, swimming, tennis courts, outdoor gym memberships, baseball, softball, football, and most go to the lakes on the weekend to party. They get sick of sitting in town drinking so they miander…
